ABOUT US

Fleurieu Guided Walks is run by local ecologist and volunteer wildlife carer, Max.

After completing honours in ecology at Adelaide University, Max moved to the southern Fleurieu Peninsula and began applying what he'd learnt. Keen to share his passion and knowledge about the local ecosystems, Max worked for Murray River Trails to learn the art of guiding. He then established Fleurieu Guided Walks to share his passion for the plants and animals of this region.

Max and Bethany care for orphaned and injured wildlife and now live with a permanent mob of eight kangaroos, including Stumpy (pictured here).
